Saving Your Password in the "Connect to" box
Q. How do I get the 'Connect To' box to save my username and password?
A. First, right mouse click on your Network Neighborhood icon, and click on Properties. Do you have Client for Microsoft Networks installed? If not, add it and restart your system. When Prompted for a username and password during bootup, enter your WVNET username (abc012345) and leave the password blank. Click OK. Click OK again when prompted to confirm your blank password.
If you already have Client for Microsoft Networks installed then click on the Start button, Find, Files and Folders. Search your C:/ drive for *.pwl and delete the files ending in .pwl that it finds. Restart your computer. When Prompted for a username and password during bootup, enter your WVNET username (abc012345) and leave the password blank. Click OK. Click OK again when prompted to confirm your blank password.
That's it. You should now be able to type in your password at the Connect To prompt and place a checkmark in the Save Password box.
