Having Problems?
Live Technical Support
The goal of the statewide Help Desk network is to provide you with quality technical support. We encourage you to first consult with your local Help Desk. Most of the institutions in the statewide network provide their own Info/Help support.
Although we cannot be expected to support all possible hardware and software configurations, we fully support the software WVNET provides. You should understand that many problems, such as the way that certain computers, modems and software interact, are outside our control. If necessary, your local Help Desk will refer you to the WVNET Help Desk.
If you need to speak with a WVNET Help Desk consultant in person, please phone us at 293-5192 and press 1 (one) when you hear the automated attendant. You may also e-mail the helpdesk at: helpdesk@mail.wvnet.edu.

| In order to assure that a reported problem is being handled properly, WVNET uses a problem tracking system. Once a reported problem has been logged, it is assigned to an individual WVNET staff member. When the problem is solved, it is closed, and the person who reported the problem receives an electronic mail message which describes how the problem can be solved or circumvented. |
Help through E-mail
An online HELP discussion list is also available. HELP is intended to be a question/answer discussion group, which we hope will provide all WVNET users with a forum for the discussion of technical computer questions. You are encouraged to subscribe to the LISTSERV and participate in the discussion when possible.
Bear in mind, however, that:
* HELP is not a substitute for reporting actual problems with a WVNET system or communications. To report an actual problem, call the Help Desk.
* Because HELP is going to be an open forum, WVNET cannot be held responsible for any incorrect advice given by another user.
Join the HELP discussion group by sending a one-line mail message to listserv@listserv.wvnet.edu in the following format:
