Open up Outlook Express:

Go to Preferences. Make sure that under Accounts on the left hand side E-mail is the active preferences menu. Choose the account you wish to configure or select New Account to crteate a new one.
Here is your account information.
Account Information -
Full Name:
Your Name
E-mail address:
Your e-mail address
(ex: abc0000@mail.wvnet.edu)
Sending Mail -
SMTP Server:
smtp.wvnet.edu
Receiving Mail -
Account ID:
Your user id (ex: abc0000)
POP Server:
mail.wvnet.edu
Put a check next to Save Password if you would like to have Outlook Express remember your e-mail password. Next to it, enter your e-mail password.
Account Name: WVNET (or whatever you would prefer to name this account).

Click "OK" and you will be back at the main screen. Now you are ready to compose a new message. Click "New."

Put in the address of who you would like to send the message to and write your letter. Click send and it will queue the letter to be sent.

Click Send and Receive to send your letter.

You have successfully sent an email message using Outlook Express for the Macintosh.
