"Learning & Living in a Digital World"

We are pleased to announce the fifth annual, West Virginia Statewide Technology Conference to be held August 3-7, 2009 at the Charleston Civic Center. The theme for this year's conference is "Learning & Living in a Digital World".

The "Learning & Living in a Digital World" Conference Committee welcomes proposals for concurrent session presentations at the conference. Our goal is to accept proposals that will be of interest to a wide range of constituents including K-12 education and higher education. The conference sessions are divided into the following categories to appeal to the various interests of the participants.

  • Statewide Technology Partnerships and Resources
  • Technology in Education
  • Security and Network Management
  • School Counselors
  • Telecommunications Technologies
  • Web Development
  • Virtual Learning
  • Delivering the NETS-T

Submit all proposals no later than April 15, 2009 using the official Call for Proposals Submission Form. A Conference Program Committee will review all proposal entries to establish the conference program.

The "Learning & Living in a Digital World" Program Committee looks forward to working with participants and stakeholders in making this another successful conference.

Presentation Abstract

Include an abstract of no more than 100 words. If your proposal is accepted, this abstract will serve as the basis for information for your presentation and will appear on the Learning & Living in a Digital World 2009 Web site and in the onsite program. Use the abstract to state clearly what you will present during your session and what the participant will gain from attending. If you already have it written in another document, simply copy and paste the text into the box below.



Standard Presentation Room Setup*

The conference will provide the following set-up for each presentation room:
  • Internet connection and a projection unit that is compatible with the size of the room
  • The presenter must supply their own laptop.

*Participants should supply any additional specialized equipment and software they will need.
